@Perazn eensy bit older? hehehe Microsoft came around the gaming scene with the Xbox, alongside the Gamecube nintend released that generation. Prior to that Nintendo had released a Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64 and multiple hand held systems and other consoles i’m sure i’m forgetting. MS is still a baby in the gaming industry, Sony has been around forever as well.

@noxnox11 You just described every successful console in history; Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Gameboy, DS, PS1, PS2, Wii; they all achieved victory by tapping the mainstream with accessible fun. Relax; gaming’s been “decaying” as you put it for the last 3 decades, but it’s stronger than ever. And quite frankly, the idea that hardcore gamers are an enlightened, superior group is laughable and elitist.
